paesi dell'eccellenza, allora vacci.

Advice you would give to a graduate...

Escape from Italy if you want to earn and find a job, but never forget what it has taught you.
it you think it has taught you nothing, there is no point in going away. if on the other hand you
believe you have something extra compared to those teaching or working in the
so-called countries of excellence, then go there. Whether you are doing so to
later return or to never come back is of no concern to me.

E tu, a quale tribù appartieni?

A recent poll has broken down the Italian adult population into three large tribes: the Annoyed, the Satisfied and the Stressed. The first tribe numbers approximately ten million and groups people that have more time than they need Television and films are the generally preferred time fillers employed by this tribe's members. The members of the second tribe, numbering 14 million, have sufficient time far their requirements: aver fifty, retirees living in the smaller cities, housewives busy with their daily chores and totally engrossed in TV programmes; very well groomed, high income females that read books and the press, take in movies; they have time but are not bored as they know how to make use of it; males who work without being obsessed, who love movies, literature and travelling, engaged in community services and local politics. The third tribe numbers 15 and a half million. Members of this tribe complain about Iack of time, constantly hounded by deadlines and would dearly like to be in more places than one, if they only could: well educated, career conscious, young urban dwellers that love books, the dailies, movies and night life; self-employed and workers who work their fingers to the bone even over the weekends; well educated and affluent career women; innumerable entrepreneurs, top managers, freelance professionals who read, travel, attend conferences, obsessively checking their digital diaries and who consider time as being their most meagre resource. Which tribe do you beIong to?
